The late, great Harold Ramis died this week.  Besides being known as one of the Ghostbusters, he also co-wrote and directed Groundhog Day (1993).

It is a movie which gives one much to think about life on this planet as it hurtles through space.

The movie’s premise is about the transformation of a selfish, self-centred weatherman, Phil Connors (played by Bill Murray), who is sent to cover the events of Groundhog Day in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.  He becomes “trapped” on the same day, Groundhog Day, and he is forced to live the same day over and over again in all of perpetuity.  It appears to be a form of hell for Phil until he learns some valuable lessons on how to make the best of each day.  I won’t give away the movie, but will ask that if you are looking for a healthier and happier life that you might consider watching and thinking about Phil’s trials and tribulations some time.
